Our culture
How we work.
Check before you claim
If we tell a client a page is faster or a form works, we have loaded it, timed it and sent a test lead through it first.
Know the business
A tire shop, a soil yard and a nonprofit need different things. You learn how the client actually sells before you build anything.
Finish what you start
The person who takes on a job sees it through to launch, including the parts nobody enjoys, like redirects and handover notes.
A small team
Few people, so everyone talks to clients, reads the code and writes copy. There is no department to pass work to.

How the work runs
Specifics, not adjectives.
Every agency says it moves fast and cares about clients. Here is what that actually looks like on a Tuesday.
You own a client, not a ticket
One person is accountable for a client end to end: the build, the marketing, the reporting and the phone call when something breaks. Nobody hands a problem sideways.
Erica does the repetitive half
Erica is the assistant we set up inside our own workflows. It drafts, sorts and runs first-pass audits, and a person approves anything that goes to a client. That is how one person can look after several clients properly.
Weekly increments, visible to the client
Work ships in weekly slices the client can open in a browser. No six-week silences ending in a reveal.
Measured, or it did not happen
Page weight, contrast ratios, response times, lead counts. Numbers on this site are counted from the client roster, and numbers in a client report come off a tool you can name.
You will read production code on day one
Small estate, no gatekeeping, no six-month onboarding. You will also find things that are wrong, because there are always things that are wrong.
Remote, Pacific-ish hours
Clients are Bay Area businesses who call during their working day. Overlap matters more than location.
What we don't do
The part most careers pages leave out.
You can tell more about a place from what it rules out than from what it aspires to.
- Invent numbers. If a figure is on our site or in a client report, it was measured or counted.
- Lock clients in. They get the source, the database and the deployment docs on handover.
- Charge per seat. A business should not pay more for letting its own staff use its own software.
- Run unpaid “trial projects” as part of hiring. We pay for work.
- Do crunch as a habit. A deadline missed because somebody slept is cheaper than the alternative.
- Pretend the AI is a person. Erica is labeled as software everywhere it speaks.
How hiring works
Four steps, about two weeks.
- 01
You send something real
A résumé is fine. A link to something you built, with a sentence on what was hard about it, is better.
- 02
A call with the founder
Forty-five minutes. You will speak to the person you would work with, because there is no layer in between.
- 03
A paid piece of work
A small, real task from a real client engagement, scoped to about four hours, paid at your rate. You keep the work either way.
- 04

Digital marketing strategist
Run local SEO and marketing for a handful of small business clients. You will audit Google Business Profiles, plan and write content, and report honestly on what changed each month.
Full-stack web developer
Build and maintain client websites on Next.js and React. You will work with design to ship fast, accessible sites, usually to a two-week launch target.
AI automation specialist
Set up chat, voice and automation workflows for local business clients, with a person approving anything that matters. You will work with n8n, Make, Voiceflow and custom API integrations.
